We are closing WEBURY

Today, we share some difficult news about WEBURY. With heavy hearts, we have decided to close our small, family-run business.

Our journey began in the late 1980s as two physical countrywear stores — Country Yarns in Ludlow and Bromyard. In 1997, we moved online, and in the early 2000s, we rebranded as WEBURY. Over nearly 40 years, the business grew beyond anything we could have imagined, shaped by our love for what we do and the loyalty of our customers.

Sadly, the past few years have been increasingly challenging. Fierce competition and continual undercutting have driven profit margins to unsustainable levels, making it impossible for us to continue in a way that aligns with our values or ensures the future of the business.

While we do not yet have a confirmed closing date, we are running a Farewell Sale as we begin to wind down the business. We want to reassure our customers that all orders — past, present, and future — will continue to be fully covered by our returns policy.

This decision has not been taken lightly. WEBURY has been our life’s work, and closing our doors is deeply emotional for our family. We are incredibly proud of what we have built and of the community that grew around it.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to every customer who supported us over the years, whether you placed one order or many. Your trust, kind messages, and loyalty have meant more to us than we can ever express. We are also immensely grateful to our suppliers and everyone who worked with us along the way.

As we bring this chapter to a close, we do so with gratitude and fond memories.
